Welcome! My name is Katarina, and I’m grateful you’re here.
I am a survivor, a storyteller, and an immigrant. My life’s journey began with a childhood marked by trauma and disturbing experiences that shaped who I am. As a teenager, I was thrust into the chaos of war, facing unimaginable challenges and fighting to survive each day.
Coming to America as a young adult brought new hope, but also a different kind of struggle—one that is often invisible and hard to explain, even to family. The daily battles with identity, belonging, and healing are complex and ongoing. Through this blog, I want to share my story honestly, including the pain, the resilience, and the insights I’ve gained along the way.
I hope my experiences will resonate with others who have faced adversity, and offer understanding to those who may not know what it’s like to live with these inner fights. If you’re seeking connection, comfort, or simply a place to read real stories about survival and growth, you are welcome here.
Thank you for visiting. I look forward to sharing my journey and hearing yours.
